My fellow dads, I need some advice. My toddler is extremely reluctant to brush her teeth. She’ll lick the toothpaste off the brush, so the taste doesn’t seem to be the issue. I’ve tried “brushing” her stuffed animals teeth to show her. My wife & I have tried brush our teeth with her in hopes she’d imitate us. I’ve offered rewards if she’d brush, but nothing seems to work. I’m to the point where I’m tempted to hold her & brush them myself, which I know she’d vigorously resist & I’m worried that would create a negative association with brushing.
Any tips or tricks you’ve all used in this kind of situation would be appreciated.
